We’ve actually been making some progress on the barn – I just haven’t been blogging about it.
A major step has been the doors and gates. Although we still lack a couple (for the upstairs), the barn is now essentially closed off. This means we can start adding animals, as they are safe from predators and we can open all pens with ease. It’s awesome.
[flickr_set id=”72157635204401370″] There are two main doors, on the east and west. They hang from a C-Purlin and are super easy to slide open. Then each of the three concrete pens has two gates: one into the alley that we use to feed everyone, and another into the corral and pasture beyond.Categories
