Irrigation Cistern

We've started work on another 7000 gallon water tank.

Irrigation cistern

Seeing as our current two 7000 gallon tanks that are hooked up to the house’s roof are overflowing, we figured we should get going on another one.

This one will be purely for irrigation purposes, to supply water for the garden and orchard areas. Next year, in the spring, we plan to plant about 30 or so trees.

So far, we have the ground leveled and prepared, the base bricks set in place and the metal walls bolted together and painted (only just finished doing that and haven’t yet taken a photo!). We should be able to mostly complete it next week.
