Monster Tomato

We had to cut back our inside tomato plant, for fear that it might actually eat the kids.

We usually cut back our tomato plants in the fall, so that more sun can get in to the house and keep it warm. We then let them grow thick for the Spring to keep it cool. But this one has grown so thick and healthy that it was escaping into the room and trying to push us out. Anyone seen the movieĀ Little Shop of Horrors?

So I cut pretty much every part of the tomato without fruit on it. It now kind of looks like a plucked chicken, but the fruit are super visible. I’m not sure if you can tell from the photos, but there are some individual vines that have almost 40 tomatoes on them.
