2nd Cistern

We have started work on a new 6,000 gallon water tank for the main house catchment system.

Seeing as there’s only one month left in this year’s rain season, we have decided to halt work on the barn for the time being. Instead, we are working towards putting up a new cistern.

Our house tanks are full (almost 8,000 gallons) and the barn tank (7,000 gallons) is almost full, so it is past time to ready the new tank.

So far, we have leveled the site and then leveled a circle of bricks, on which the tank walls will stand. Abe has also drilled the metal, ready to bolt together. We’re hoping to finish it next week (or so).
