Grape Cuttings

Several weeks ago, we took some cuttings from a grape vine and rooted them. We dipped each cutting in some rooting hormone and put them in a mix of perlite and dirt.

The grapes are now going crazy, sending little tendrils out all over the place.

We haven’t yet decided where we’re going to plant them, but we’ll figure something out.

We also have a bunch of wild grapes growing near us. They are almost ripe. As soon as they are we plan to pick them to make a jelly. We might also start some cuttings of these, as they are sturdy and obviously do well in our climate. We can always graft a sweeter vine onto them.
